Donna Block is a professional voice over artist and narrator whose voice conveys an authentic mix of maturity, energy, depth and warmth. She is a quirky and exuberant personality and it shines through her voice over work. Training with top tier voice over casting directors and coaches around the country, Donna’s versatile voice ranges from pleasant and playful to sophisticated and sage. With the skill to utilize her memorable voice, Donna has a unique way of telling stories and engages any audience through thoughtful decision making and vocal choices.
Donna grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm just minutes from the Jersey Shore. After moving to New York City at the age of 18, she has been using her voice to great effect ever since. As a classically-trained vocalist, she sang in musical theater productions, choirs and madrigal groups. Her first inkling of interest in the voice over industry began in 1992 after graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology.

She has worked in TV and Film and was employed by Sound Lounge where she got an up close and personal insight into voice over casting, auditions, recording and mixing processes. As a professional pastry chef and cake artist; food appreciation, instruction, advertising voice over and narration comes naturally to her. Working in Michelin star-rated restaurants and creating custom confections for well-known brands and corporations, she has the background and knowledge to effectively tempt and captivate listeners and patrons. A creative force, she is a former designer and color and trend forecaster, known for her dynamic presenting style. Donna delivers fashion related copy with confidence and ease. She knows brands, terminology and trends. And as one of two keynote speakers chosen to represent the USA at Thailand’s global fashion summit she effectively merged her career as a designer and trend forecaster with her naturally authoritative and powerful voice.
